This is a part time position with the potential of evolving into full time. The optimal person for this position would have: *creative experience designing original bouquets, customized gift baskets, and other specialty floral arrangements * exemplary customer service training and experience, preferably in retail sales *the ability to work independently and as part of a team *the ability to be creative in both design and problem solving *training and/or experience with plant care *the ability to comfortably move and lift heavy items up to approximately 30 pounds. *excellent written and verbal communication skills in English a valid driver’s licence *the ability to be highly adaptable *strong time management skills * some knowledge of computer based Point of Sale software *the ability to stand for long periods of time * some familiarity with social media as it relates to business.
Candidates for this position understand that scheduling is flexible and they must be available Saturdays and floral holidays. Knowledge of a second language is definitely an asset.
