Full-Time Florist / Floral Designer Role overview Van Belle Flowers is growing, and we’re looking for a talented full-time florist to join our Bowmanville team.
We’re looking for someone who loves floral design, enjoys working with people, and wants to grow with a company that is investing heavily in its future. This role is ideal for an experienced florist looking for a positive, creative environment — or an ambitious newer designer with formal training who is eager to learn and build a long-term career in floral design. What You’ll Do Design and prepare customer orders with care and attention to detail Create hand-tied bouquets, vase arrangements, and market bouquets Follow floral recipes and also work creatively within our brand style Assist customers in-store and help guide them through floral purchases Support daily floral processing, care, and merchandising Participate in floral workshops and customer events Help maintain a clean, organized, and positive workspace Support the team during key floral holidays and busy seasons
What We’re Looking For Floral design experience preferred (2+ years ideal) Formal floral training or floral school education preferred Strong eye for colour, composition, and floral styling Friendly and confident interacting with customers Positive attitude and team-first mindset Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, especially during busy holidays Someone motivated, reliable, and excited to grow with the business Floral photography and content styling skills are considered an asset Position Details Full-time position 5 shifts per week in Bowmanville, Ontario 8-hour shifts Wage: From $19/hour to $21/hour, depending on experience. Must be available during key floral holidays including Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, Easter, and other peak periods
