Oleander is a full service flower shop located in The Kingsway, servicing the Etobicoke area mainly but delivering all across the GTA. We're happy to say that we are growing and as the busy season again fast approaches we are looking to hire a full-time designer. Eligible candidates must have retail experience, with preferably 1 to 2 years of design experience.
The duties required will include but are not limited to the following: -flower processing -order taking over the phone and with walk in customers -plant maintenance -helping with off site installations/weddings/planting -daily cleaning and organizing duties, supply refill -creative input - assisting with customers in our home decor and gift shop when needed - open to working some weekends and possibly heavier hours around major holidays (Christmas, Valentines, Mothers Day etc) The skills required include but are not limited to the following: - give exceptional customer service in store and over the phone - clear and concise communication with customers and co-workers, good written and verbal English skills - able to take direction and open to critique - able to stay on task and manage own time, take initiative and be self motivated - have an eye for design and basic understanding of design elements - understanding of the physicality of this job, must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time, lift flower buckets, boxes, etc. - drivers licence an asset but not not required Interested candidates, please provide for us a brief cover letter, resume detailing past experience and skills and at least 2 references.
